My Dad and Debbie made the trip from Tennessee last week to meet their first grandchild! She was a very good little girl during most of their visit. We were able to take her along with us for a few dinners out as well. We kind of pushed our luck on the last night. Jason and I had to eat in shifts while the other one bounced Alia in the entryway to the restaurant! Oh, well!! As you can see from the pictures, Alia had Grandpa wrapped around her little finger immediately!

Uncle Jamie meets Alia

Uncle Jamie came to Portland for a week in January to meet his new niece Alia. Before he came, he tried to tell us that he "didn't do babies", but as you can see Alia suckered him right in. He bounced her right through the hiccups several times and they snuggled in the recliner together! We had a great visit and Jamie kept us well fed. I don't think we did any cooking the whole time he was here and we had many several course meals .... it was fabulous!

Here is my first attempt at loading real video onto the blog. Hopefully it works!! This is a little clip of Alia at bath time. Once we figured out what temperature she likes the water at, bath time has been a piece of cake!

Boys night out!

Grandpa Max came to Portland to meet his new granddaughter on January 8th. On the 9th, we went to breakfast and the zoo for Jason's birthday. It was a big day out for little Alia! She ended up sleeping through most of it. On Saturday, Jason and Max went to the Blazer game together. It was boys night out and girls night in. The game started out slow but ended up being pretty entertaining and the Blazers won! The rest of his trip was spent eating some great food made by Jason, chatting, napping and enjoying little Alia!

2 Week Check-Up

Alia had her two week check up with her pediatrician this week! She is a healthy, happy and GROWING little girl! Alia is now 9 pounds, 3.5 ounces and 22.5 inches long. The doctor said that she looks great! She officially has a belly button now too! No more umbilical stump! The pediatrician assured me that blocks of sleep of more than 2-3 hours could be right around the corner and I sure hope he is right. Mommy is one seriously tired lady!!

Grammy meets Alia for the first time on Christmas Day

On Christmas day, Alia's Grammy (Kim's mom) came to visit and help out the family. She was here for one week and was a huge help! She kept us company during middle of the night feedings and got us all caught up on house work and laundry. When things weren't exciting enough, we played dress up with Alia and got lots of cute pictures. Grammy went back to Michigan on New Year's Day and is already missing our little jelly bean!
