Alia just finished up a two week session of swim classes. She is loving getting in the water, kicking her feet and jumping in, but is still NOT a big fan of going under water. Jason went to the last class so that he could take her down the big slide, since its probably not a good idea for me to do it 7 months pregnant. As you can see, the slide is not a big hit, but we tried.

Singing Songs
Alia has really taken to singing songs with Mommy. Here is a little clip of her "singing" the ABCs and Five Little Monkeys.

Alia's First Happy Meal

Bike Rides with Daddy
One of Alia's favorite things about summer is going for a bike ride with Daddy almost every night after dinner. She loves to wear her "Dora hat" and tells Mommy all about her "good ride" when they get back. It will be sad to see the long days and nice weather goat some point because it is just the highlight of her little life right now!

Here is a little clip of Alia's first attempt at singing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" along with some other cuteness. Enjoy!

Playing Outside
Summer has finally arrived here in the Northwest. We went from temps of 65 to 95 in a matter of a couple of days. Today Alia and I enjoyed playing outside with some of our new outside toys and staying cool.
Playing in her new kiddie pool. She was "jumping" and splashing like crazy!
Climbing up her new slide
just being silly
hugging and kissing her little penguin that goes with her water table

Daddy's Little Helper
Jason spent a lot of time in the yard this weekend. He is doing quite the makeover project on our front yard. Luckily, he had a wonderful little helper to follow him around. Alia wanted to be just like Daddy and tried everything that Daddy did. She helped water plants and put on Daddy's gardening gloves to pick up pine cones and leaves.
Anniversary
Our third anniversary was last Wednesday and we enjoyed a great night out this weekend to celebrate. We went to Paley's Place, a great local restaurant, for dinner. Unfortunately we weren't able to squeeze in dessert before we had to take off to make it to Keller Auditorium to see The Lion King. I have been dying to see it for a while and it was completely worth it. The woman who played Rafiki was amazing! After the show we decided to walk over to the Heathman to get dessert. It was great and the parking garage was completely emptied out by the time we got back and we were able to scoot right home. Alia was not nearly as pleased that Mommy and Daddy left for the evening, but she and the babysitter both managed to survive :-)

Coloring
I picked up a little picnic table today for Alia. I thought it would be nice to have something small that I could carry outside or keep inside for art projects and stuff. If we ever get nice weather around here, we can play outside and have lunch too. Alia climbed right in as soon as we put it up. We asked her what she was going to do at her table and she said "color" and "crayons". So, we got some out and that's what we did.
