Swim Class

Alia just finished up a two week session of swim classes. She is loving getting in the water, kicking her feet and jumping in, but is still NOT a big fan of going under water. Jason went to the last class so that he could take her down the big slide, since its probably not a good idea for me to do it 7 months pregnant. As you can see, the slide is not a big hit, but we tried.

Singing Songs

Alia has really taken to singing songs with Mommy. Here is a little clip of her "singing" the ABCs and Five Little Monkeys.

Alia's First Happy Meal

Alia and Mommy went to McDonald's for her first every Happy Meal after swim class on Tuesday. The apples and the milk were ok, but she LOVED the chicken nuggets! She has been talking about it ever since. What is it about McDonald's that kids just can't resist?

Reading

The other day I was trying to get ready in the bathroom and Alia was needing some suggestions to keep busy. I told her she should read a book to piggy. So she went over, propped him up and read/sang him "Old MacDonald Had a Farm". I ran to get the camera, because it was just too cute to miss!

Bike Rides with Daddy

One of Alia's favorite things about summer is going for a bike ride with Daddy almost every night after dinner. She loves to wear her "Dora hat" and tells Mommy all about her "good ride" when they get back. It will be sad to see the long days and nice weather goat some point because it is just the highlight of her little life right now!

Playing Outside

Summer has finally arrived here in the Northwest. We went from temps of 65 to 95 in a matter of a couple of days. Today Alia and I enjoyed playing outside with some of our new outside toys and staying cool.
