Happy Easter 2010!

Somehow, I managed to get a picture of Alia with the Easter Bunny with a smile on her face!!!! I decided to head out to the mall and just give it a try today. I wasn't going to dress her up or make too big of a deal out of it, because I was pretty sure that it wasn't going to happen. Luckily there was no one else there when we arrived and we were able to hang out with the Easter Bunny for a few minutes. There were NO TEARS AT ALL! Alia did use her words ... like "no" and "down", but we were able to persuade her to get a couple of photos. She was especially thrilled about being able to stand up on this bench ... a big no-no at home!

Fun with Friends

Here are some pictures taken by my friend Jamie of Carson and Alia last Friday. Mommy had a "day off" and got her hair done and ran errands. Alia and Carson had a busy day. In the morning they did art projects and helped Jamie make cookies (which were delicious by the way). In the afternoon they had a PJ party and played.

Our Quick Trip to Michigan

Alia and I made a quick trip back to Michigan last week to visit my Granny and Lloyd. Granny had been in the hospital about a week prior and it just seemed like a sign that it was time for a visit. We stayed at my mom's house, but spent two days up at Granny's. We really pooped her, Lloyd and the poor cat right out. They all slept beautifully after we left! Here are some pictures from our adventure. Alia's sleep got all screwed up on the way there and on the way home. She fell asleep in the car seat for the first time since she was about 8 months old!
