Tennessee Trip 2014

I'm a little behind on my updating. We have been enjoying a fantastic summer and as always, it is just going by much too quickly.

We had another wonderful trip to Tennessee this summer. Every year we go to my dad's house on the lake for a week and just eat, drink, boat and swim. It's great! Each year it gets a little easier with the kiddos. They are turning into great little travelers and love spending time in the boat and in the water.

We went for a boat ride and then jumped in and floated out in the middle of the lake.

We discovered a baby turtle swimming by the dock and enjoyed holding him and watching him for a little while.

The kids tried tubing for the first time this year. Alia loved it and squealed and giggled every time we had "big bumps".

Max just thought it was a bumpy ride and didn't really see the excitement. We've determined he prefers activities where he is in charge or in the drivers seat :-)

Max did lots of jumping off the dock this year! He kept jumping off the side and then would have to swim around the the ladder. We tried to tell him there was an easier way, but he liked his way better.

The kids got creative with the floaties and made their own water slide.

The biggest breaking news of the trip was that Jason water-skied for the first time. I was very impressed! If my shoulder ever gets better, I'm going to try too!

Max managed to stay awake during almost all the boat rides this year ... except this one. We rode all the way to the Dam. Jason and the kids had never seen it before.
Long ride + full belly = nap time for Max

Papaw and Mimi discovered this mini, battery powered jet skis at Costco. Max loved it, but after a day or two, I think he was bummed he couldn't make it go faster.

Jason learned how to drive the boat on this trip too!

Alia modeling her new sunglasses. I told her to look like a movie star and this was the pose I got. Awesome!!
