Playing!

I haven't posted a video in a while, so here is a clip of Alia playing with her new toy. At the end you can see that she has started doing a fake smile thing that is pretty darn cute and funny!

More Food Please!

Alia loves finger foods! She will eat just about anything that you put in her mouth. Her absolute favorite is BREAD!! She can't get enough of it. She also likes bananas, strawberries, peas, cheerios and cheese. She went on a spoon strike for a couple of days, where she wouldn't eat anything on a spoon, but luckily we are past that now.

This is the face Alia makes (scrunchy face/sun-in-the-eyes face) when she wants bread or cheerios and you try to give her anything else. This adorable little face is usually accompanied with a grunty, whiny sound.

Alia is working on feeding herself. She has managed to get bread into her mouth a couple of times, but can't quite make it happen fast enough. We are practicing at every meal though!

Bathing in the Big Tub!

Our little jellybean has officially outgrown her infant bathtub. We are now taking our baths in the big tub. Alia really likes being able to sit up and play with toys. It also makes it much easier for Mommy and Daddy to wash her hair without getting water and shampoo in her eyes.

Daddy Time

Alia and Daddy spent a lot of time together while Mommy tried out for the dance team (nope, I didn't make it). They went to Washington Park and the Rose Gardens and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Alia loves being outside and loves being with her Daddy!

7 Months Old Now!

It is so hard to believe that Alia is 7 months old now. She has changed so much just since our trip home last month. She loves to sit up to play and is REALLY getting the hang of eating solid foods. She loves bread and bananas ... the real stuff, not purees, but seems to eat just about anything you put in her mouth. The only thing she doesn't want any part of is formula. Total bummer! Here are a few recent pictures of Alia.

This is her scrunchy face that she makes when she is displeased. It doesn't always lead to crying, but she does try to make it look as dramatic as possible so that you know she isn't happy with something.

Out for our morning walk. We have been trying to get out each day after breakfast.

Daddy showing off Alia's excellent morning hair style! Priceless!

Alia's first time on the swing at the park. She loved it!

Sunshiny Day!

A few quick, cute pictures of our little bean. We went for a walk to the Farmer's Market and thought maybe Alia should wear some sunglasses. They only stayed on long enough for us to snap some pictures, but it sure was cute while it lasted!
