Another Halloween Video ...

Here is a little before and after video of tonight's festivities:

More Halloween Fun

Here is a little clip of Alia trick or treating ...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Halloween was a whole new experience for us this year. It was Max's very first Halloween and Alia's first time trick or treating. We talked about it all week and even did a little practicing. She was pumped and ready to go when the time came. Max ended up sleeping through all of the fun, which was a good thing because he really needed the sleep. After trick or treating Alia had her very first piece of candy (and then her second piece of candy). Needless to say, she is clearly related to us .. the Kit Kat and the Snickers were both a BIG HIT!

Mommy and Max hanging out before trick or treating time ...

Our little puppy dog getting ready to accompany his big sister for some trick or treating fun.

Clearly not into all of the Halloween action this year, but we'll give it a go next year!

Alia loves to sit in the big chair and hold her baby brother.
Max is still a little indifferent about the whole situation!

Big Sister and Little Brother getting ready to head out.

Posing for a quick picture with our pumpkins before all of the fun.
Look at Alia's very beautiful hand painted pumpkin :-)

Unimpressed

Max fell asleep right in the middle of a burping session!
All this Halloween stuff is clearly not too exciting to him yet ... maybe next year :-)

Halloween Fun - Part 1

Here are a few pictures of some of our pre-Halloween activities.

Playing at the sensory table at Miss Jamie's house with our play group friends.

Thoroughly enjoying her chocolate cupcake with orange and green frosting!

treats with friends :-)

We didn't have the time to carve pumpkins this year. It was just too hard to coordinate with nap times and cranky times and such so we let Alia paint a pumpkin instead. I think its pretty clear from these photos that it was a big hit. I'd also like to note that she picked out the colors herself and did all the painting by herself too! Such a big girl!

Proud little Bean with her completed project!

Grandpa & Aunt Katie

Grandpa and Aunt Katie came to visit this past week. It was a short visit but we managed to have lots of fun hanging out, going swimming at the hotel pool, going to the zoo and eating pizza!

Sibling Play Time

Here is a little clip of Alia and Max playing together on the play mat. She was doing the Hokey Pokey with him and later she was telling him about the different toys that are hanging from it. This morning while under the play mat together, Alia told Max how to make coffee!

Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday we took a trip to the Pumpkin Patch to enjoy what was probably our last nice day of the year. It was very fall like in the morning, but was sunny and ended up having a high temperature of 70 degrees. Gorgeous! We rode a little train out to the pumpkin patch and Alia enjoyed walking around trying to pick up pumpkins. We climbed up the haystack and did a little haystack maze as well. Baby Max enjoyed sleeping and cuddling up in the Ergo carrier :-) He slept the entire time!

Max - One Month Old

It's hard to believe but Max is already one month old. The time has really flown by. Thanks again to Nana, Grammy and Uncle Jamie for your help in getting through it (as well as lots of friends who have brought meals over to feed us). Jason is now off for bonding leave for the next couple of weeks and we are looking forward to visits from Grandpa Max, Aunt Katie, Papaw and Mimi!

Max is getting so big ... and that's because he's an eating machine that never lets Mommy sleep! He seems to be pretty easy going so far and even enjoys a little tummy time now and then. He can sleep through just about anything once he's out ... like one of big sister's temper tantrums. It's pretty impressive!

Uncle Jamie visits!

My brother was able to come up for a quick visit this weekend to meet the newest member of our family. It was great because his trip overlapped with my mom's and we all got to be together for a couple of days. It was extra nice because they did some teamwork babysitting for Jason and I on Saturday night and we were able to go out for a couple of hours together to have some actual adult conversation :-) Probably the best part of any visit with my brother though is that he loves to cook and feed us until we split in two .... fabulous!

Grammy visits!

Two days after my mother-in-law departed, my mommy came for a visit. She was here for over a week! She was a big help around the house and even got up in the middle of the night to rock Max to sleep so that I could catch just a couple more zzz's. Here are a few pictures from her visit:

Nana Visits

All hail the amazing NANA! My fabulous mother-in-law came to visit for a week. She was an amazing help with the kids and left my house neat and tidy. She can wash a dish or a piece of laundry faster than you can dirty it ... hooray! Now we are on our own for a couple of days before Grammy comes to visit.
